Saffron Strawberry Daiquiri

Safran Strawberry Daiquiri cocktail med is og safrantråde, serveret i et glas med mintpynt.

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml white rum
  • 20 ml fresh lime juice
  • 15 ml simple syrup (1:1 sugar and water)
  • 5-6 fresh strawberries (or 30 ml strawberry puree)
  • 10-15 pieces of saffron threads
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime slice or strawberries for garnish

How to proceed:

  1. Saffron infusion: Soak the saffron threads in a small amount of warm water (about 1 tablespoon) for 5-10 minutes to release its flavour and colour.

  2. Prepare the cocktail: In a blender or cocktail shaker, add the white rum, lime juice, simple syrup, the fresh strawberries (or strawberry puree), the saffron-infused liquid and ice cubes.

  3. Blend or shake well: If using a blender, blend the ingredients to a smooth, icy consistency. If using a shaker, shake well and then strain the cocktail to remove strawberry seeds and ice chunks.

  4. Serving: Pour the cocktail into a chilled coupe or martini glass.

  5. DecorationsDecorate the drink with a slice of lime or half a strawberry on the rim of the glass. You can also sprinkle a few saffron threads for an exclusive touch.

This Saffron Strawberry Daiquiri is a perfect balance between the sweetness of strawberry, the tartness of lime and the rich, spicy depth of saffron. It's both refreshing and elegant!
